CO-OPERATIVE
Substance Homeschool is a sub-group of Substance Church, not an official staff-led ministry of the church. In addition, Substance Homeschool is a DBA of Substance Academy, an IRS determined 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation focused on providing educational resources to homeschool students and their families.
This means we are led and operated by a team of leaders who call Substance Church their home.
As a co-operative, our focus is not designed to be a drop off program, but truly a collaboration of homeschool families working together and supporting each other. While students are in classes, parents will have opportunities to engage in small groups, large group time, speakers, prayer, and more.
Families will be asked to volunteer in a variety of roles throughout the year in an effort to keep the tuition costs low. We encourage Parents and Guardians to prayerfully consider how they can best use their skills, talents, and passions in a way that blesses the group. Examples of volunteer roles include: set up, tear down, cleaning, prayer team, field trip coordinator, etc. In addition, parents and guardians are expected to serve periodically as a classroom helper assisting the teacher.
Substance Academy is an IRS determined 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation and all donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Substance Academy has full control and discretion over the use of donations.
