VISION AND MISSION
Our Vision is to engage the hearts, souls, and minds of our children, empowering them to love God and discover His calling for their lives.
The Mission of the Substance Homeschool Co-op is to provide Christ-centered supplemental education, support, and community for homeschool families at Substance. Our goal is to be defined by quality instruction and content, engaged parents, and intentional community and enrichment for homeschool families.
CO-OPERATIVE
Our homeschool co-op is a sub-group of Substance Church, not an official staff-led ministry of the church.
This means we are led and operated by a team of volunteers who call Substance Church their home.
As a co-op, our focus is not designed to be a drop off program, but truly a collaboration of homeschool families working together and supporting each other. While students are in classes, parents will have opportunities to engage in small groups, large group time, speakers, prayer, and more.
Families will be asked to volunteer in a variety of roles throughout the year in an effort to keep the tuition costs low. We encourage Parents and Guardians to prayerfully consider how they can best use their skills, talents, and passions in a way that blesses the group. Examples of volunteer roles include: set up, tear down, cleaning, prayer team, field trip coordinator, etc. In addition, parents and guardians are expected to serve approximately 6 hours per year as a classroom helper assisting the teacher.
